BYU Campus Conversations Project
The BYU Campus Conversations Project provides opportunities to talk about divisive issues in a structured way, allowing individuals to hear diverse experiences and perspectives. Rather than debating or trying to convince others, participants take turns sharing and listening to build mutual understanding and connection.
BYU College Democrats
Our purpose is to further political discourse on campus by providing an opportunity for like-minded individuals to come together, discuss, and promote the policy positions of the Democratic Party, in so much as they fulfill the enduring principles of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The CPCR is a mediation clinic for BYU Students and members of the larger community. We seek to help individuals and groups reach amicable conclusions to conflicts and improve their communication skills. Our services are free of charge and available to all!

Our office’s mission is to help students be civically engaged now and in their future. Our booth highlights the civic engagement minor, voter registration, and upcoming activities.
Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy (CSED)
CSED is a BYU Political Science Department research lab that focuses on research pertaining to American politics. We work together as students and faculty to research things like polarization, political behavior, and more. We are interested in creating knowledge that can help achieve peacemaking in American politics.

Our booth highlights peacemaking focus of GE writing classes, specifically WRTG 150 and WRTG 312. The mission of University Writing is to help students become Christlike communicators who contribute to flourishing families, organizations, and communities.

Our mission with the European Studies internship program is to connect students with opportunities to collaborate with international organizations that focus on International collaboration and peacemaking as a top priority. Internships are located at the UN, NATO, IAEA, EU, and a variety of NGOs in the region.

Global Environmental Studies
A minor that strengthens a student’s environmental expertise in an interdisciplinary framework. It is a bridge between environmental sciences and the humanities and social sciences. It is designed to inspire and prepare future leaders who have the scientific, cultural, political, and moral understandings necessary to meet the environmental challenges ahead.

Initiative for Peacemaking
The Initiative for Peacemaking seeks to coordinate and encourage BYU mission-inspired scholarship and academic research on peace. We build on existing work from the department of Political Science and else where on campus to bring together faculty inside and outside of Brigham Young University. We aim to share the vital work being done on peacemaking with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the public at large.

International Development Minor
We focus on peacemaking by teaching students how to work across cultures with respect and understanding. Through coursework, internships, and our student club we encourage humility, compassion, and care for others as guiding values in building peace. KENNEDY CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES
We plan to highlight our “Building and Brokering Peace” lecture series, our Peace Advocate Lab, and encourage attendees to get involved in peacemaking efforts through the Kennedy Center. The theme for our booth will be based on a quote from Elder Holland that says “As we enlarge our circle of understanding, we enlarge our circle of concern.”

The McKay Belonging Leadership Team strives to cultivate a supportive community for all McKay students by promoting Christlike leadership, organizing meaningful gatherings, and providing service opportunities.
