Information on hosting a booth at the Peacemaker Fair
Event Date: Wednesday, September 10, 2025 Time: 4-6pm
Location: Wilkinson Student Center, Rooms 3220–3224
Hosted by: BYU’s Initiative for Peacemaking and The Peacemaker Project
What is the Peacemaker Fair?
The Peacemaker Fair is a new campus-wide event that brings together student organizations, university departments, research centers, and community partners to highlight work related to:
- Peacebuilding and conflict resolution
- Bridge-building across divides
- Reconciliation and depolarization practices
- Civil discourse and dialogue
- Community engagement and social cohesion
The event will begin with a keynote address at 4:00 PM, followed by a booth expo where students can learn about opportunities to get involved, volunteer, or collaborate.
Why Host a Booth?
- Showcase Your Work: Highlight your organization’s mission, programs, and impact.
- Connect with Students: Recruit volunteers, interns, or research assistants.
- Network with Partners: Build connections with others involved in peacebuilding and engagement on campus.
- Support the Mission: Help foster a culture of dialogue, understanding, and collaboration.
What’s Included with Your Booth?
- One 6-foot table and two chairs
- Wi-Fi access
- Program listing with your organization’s name and description
- On-site assistance from the Peacemaker Fair planning team
- Access to a network of student and campus leaders interested in peacemaking
- No registration fee
- Free food for all student attendees
What Are Booth Hosts Asked to Provide?
- A brief description of your mission or focus (50 words max)
- A representative (or two) to staff your booth during the 4:00–6:00 PM expo
- (Optional) Organization logo for use in promotional materials
- (Optional) A web link to be listed on peace.byu.edu
- (Optional) Willingness to track student engagement as a result of the event
