A skills‑based seminar that introduces conceptual knowledge and practical skills training for a mediator. Weekly instructional mediation training through interactive lecture, group discussion, role-play, video and demonstration. Basic mediation concepts such as communication skills, information gathering, managing conflict, identifying issues, active listening, reframing, problem solving, negotiating, and agreement writing. Skills will be practiced in class through role-play and in the community.
